the location data and time are automatically updated.

The ZS/TZ series camera is acclaimed as an excellent travel companion because of a wide shooting range and hybrid recording capability of high quality photos and movies. The new DMC-ZS7(TZ10) further enhances its value by adding a built-in GPS (Global Positioning System) unit into the camera.
Place name information (Country, State, City and Landmark*2) is displayed on the shooting screen real-time and recording them on the photo/movie.
The area information: 173 countries or regions!
The landmark information: More than 500,000!
The area information covers 173 countries or regions for global use. Plus, more than 500,000 of landmark information covers 73 countries or regions.
Simply select "GPS Setting" and shooting,
an information of latitude and longitude
is recorded to EXIF data of photo/movie*1
The DMC-ZS7(TZ10) features special Playback Modes.
You can playback the geo-tagged photo/movie by the recorded place names either in the camera or on computer via the included software PHOTOfunSTUDIO 5.1 HD Edition.
Connect to a TV with an HDMI cable*3 to view your memories on a large screen.
Internal clock of the camera is automatically adjusted to the local time of the place where the camera is, so you do not have to set the clock manually whether you go abroad or come back home.
- *1 The information of movie is recorded in EXIF for the Motion JPEG files and in the maker note for the AVCHD Lite files.
- *2 The information of Landmark may not be displayed depending on the country or region.
- *3 Requires the optional RP-CDHM15/CDHM30 mini HDMI cable. The output resolution of the DMC-ZS7(TZ10) can be selected as 1080i, 720p or 480p (576p in PAL system). Please confirm that the TV you are connecting to has an HDMI input terminal compatible with the selected signal. Depending on the cable used, this function may not be possible. Panasonic HDMI cables are highly recommended.

- In the following types of locations, it may not be possible to correctly receive the signals from the GPS satellites. In such cases, positioning may not be possible, or significant positioning discrepancy may occur.
• Indoors / • Near high-voltage power lines / • Underground or underwater (when using a marine case) / • In tunnels / • In forests / • Near 1.5 GHz mobile phones, etc. / • Near buildings or in valleys - The latitude and longitude standard (geographical coordinate system) recorded with this camera is WGS84.
