LUMIX DMC-FT2
The DMC-FT2 is shockproof, waterproof, dustproof and newly added freezeproof in design with the capability to record high-definition movie in AVCHD Lite. Featuring a 28mm wide-angle lens, 4.6x optical zoom and iA (Intelligent Auto) Mode, this versatile camera lets you capture your moments no matter what the intended shooting terrain is. Swim along with tropical fish and capture shots of beautiful coral reefs, or take recordings of your friends around a camp fire. The DMC-FT2 is an extremely versatile camera that you can take with you wherever the action calls.
The DMC-FT2 is dropproof from a height up to 2m in accordance with the "MIL-STD 810F Method 516.5-Shock" test standard. It lets you shoot actively while moving around with the camera in one hand.
With waterproof performance to a depth of 10m equivalent to the "IEC60529 IPX8" standard, the DMC-FT2 supports active shooting on a beach, underwater or in a pool. If the camera gets dirty, soil and dust can be washed off by using water.
With freezeproof to -10 degrees C, the DMC-FT2 supports shooting while skiing, snowboarding or skating.
The DMC-FT2 is dustproof equivalent to the “IEC60529 IP6X” standard. While hiking or playing sports, fine dust particles can enter through gaps in the camera body and cause malfunction. The DMC-FT2 can be used in these activities without problems.
In addition to photos, the FT2 lets you shoot HD movies at 1280 x 720-pixel resolution with the press of a button. The AVCHD Lite gives you extended recording time and uses less memory than other formats. And the waterproof design lets you dive all the way down to 10 meters for crisp, clear underwater movies.
Zoom-in movie: You can zoom in and out while shooting motion images.
Wind cut function: Minimizes the distracting sound you hear from the wind blowing into the mic.
Video divide: You can divide a single video into two parts, splitting it at any point you desire.
Built-in LED illumination: Lets you capture bright movies even in a dark place.
Simply set the FT2 to iA mode and aim it at your subject. The camera will detect the scene and automatically correct blurring, focusing and brightness problems. The double* corrective capability of POWER O.I.S. also works in water, making it easy to capture blur-free underwater shots.

The 4.6x optical zoom covers the entire shooting range from 28mm wide angle to 129mm telephoto. Intelligent Zoom uses Intelligent Resolution Technology to boost the power to 6x zoom. Unlike conventional digital zooms, there is minimal image degradation with the 6x zoom. This lens makes it easy to capture all kinds of images, such as underwater shots where the angle of view naturally narrows, and shots in which you want to fi ll the frame with your subject
